Matthew's Haven Community Outreach Program
Mission Statement:
Matthew's Haven with the assistance of area agencies, churches and the
community will provide the basic necessities to families directly targeting
the children within those families to nourish their body, enrich their mind
and lift their spirit. Providing the basic necessities of daily life will
positively affect the children, parents and the community as a whole,
ultimately preventing abuse, neglect, domestic violence, poor school
performance and family malfunction.

Overview:
Matthew's Haven is an interim relief assistance program that provides
basic necessities to all families with children who need help temporarily
or on a consistent basis until the families are able to be self-supporting
for their children.

| Who is Matthew? Matthew Ryan Pierce was born on June 17, 1993 with an anomaly affecting his pulmonary vein. Once the umbilical cord was cut he was unable to breathe on his own and surgery was not possible. Life support equipment was turned off after 8 short hours. His parents miss and love him dearly. We hope Matthew's Haven will bring comfort to many children by assisting to provide the basic necessities of daily life. |
